GETTING ACTIVE

The irony of this being the post scheduled for today is too real. If you follow along with my Instagram stories, you already know why. I can’t really exercise! Doctors orders. I was all ready to tell you about my new love for getting physical and just like that, no SoulCycle for me. I just found out last week that I have a torn tendon in the arch of my foot. PAINFUL AF! So I’m in a cast and a really fugly boot. When I say fugly…OMG.

Before my dumb injury I had hit a point with my body where I had enough, I was so unhappy with the way I looked that I even fell into a depression over it. One day I woke up and decided to just take the reins. I had done it before so it was time to do it again. I signed up for spin classes, started running and put myself on a strict diet. It worked! Within a month I had already hit my first two weight loss goals. In pushing myself I also realized that I really love working out. Well at least I love the way it makes me feel. Still don’t enjoy the whole getting out of bed an hour earlier part. Ha!

I guess it turns out that I took one step forward and two steps back because now I’m unable to do the activities I learned to love. I can only do a bit of upper body strengthening until I’m cleared by the doc. I’m just hoping that by the time I get the “ok” to exercise again, I haven’t lost all the motivation I worked up for myself. UGH! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO HARD?!

Oh and a quick side note, I’m so happy that I’m rocking all Adidas in this post. Before I got this super fashionable boot on my foot, their shoes were the only ones I could wear to get the proper support for my injury. So THANK YOU, ADIDAS!
